Actors:
• Access professionally led actor training
• Develop acting methods
• Explore contemporary acting theories
• Study major practitioners of actor training, including: Stanislavski; Strasberg; Meisner; Adler; Mamet; Brecht; Boal
• Enjoy stimulating discussions on acting theory and practice
• Feel supported in an environment designed to aid creative exploration and expression

Course Content:
• Exercises based on specific acting methodologies
• Improvisation
• Practical research
• Scene study
• Script analysis
• Voice training
• Acting journals

Questions to Explore:
• Is it helpful to have a grammar of acting?
• What is ‘truth’ in acting?
• Is translation an issue for actors?
• What can the actor bring to the rehearsal process?

Auditions on Thursday 17th December 2009 at the Crescent Arts Centre, 165 Ormeau Road, 6.30-8.30p.m.

£85 for a 12 week course
