  • Comedy Improvisation: Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast

    Comedy Improvisation at the Crescent has been growing in popularity since its inception in January 2006, so much so that Rosie has now created three separate comedy courses to cater for demand. 

  •  Develop comedy improvisation as an art form
  •  Learn the skills of comedy ‘impro’ through particular exercises and games
  •  See your confidence grow as you are fully supported in your ability to structure scenes
  •  Skills learned include: co-operation and listening; shaping of scene structure aiming towards a story climax; co-creation; offers and endowments; clarity of ideas; validity of imagined environment
  • Progress towards abilities in mime; status awareness; use of gestures; voice production; character creation; spontaneity; confidence in performance
  • Have a lot of fun!
  • Rosie teaches Speak Out!: A Verbal Communication Course at the Crescent Arts Centre. Students learn how to harness the natural power of their speaking voices and communicate confidently and expressively in work situations and everyday life.

    Rosie has created specialist  drama, voice and performance workshops for actors and students including:


    At the Crescent Arts Centre:

    • Modern Theatre Practitioners: Augusto Boal
    • Page to Stage: Major Playwrights of the 20th Century: Arthur Miller, Harold Pinter, Samuel Beckett
    • Voice For the Actor: workshops on developing the actor’s vocal flexibility, power and expression.
    • Short Summer Drama Courses: actors develop skills of improvisation, scene study, audition and monologue techniques

    At King Street Arts:
    • Classical Theatre Performance: workshops to train the actor in classical techniques, including approaches to playing Shakespeare and Restoration Comedy.
