Drama Facilitation and Voice Coaching

Rosie trained as an actor at RSAMD (Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) 1985-1988, where, on graduating, she received the prize for Most Promising Actor.

She has enjoyed a long career in theatre, radio and TV, playing leading roles in both classical and modern plays. Rosie formed her own theatre company, Just Between Ourselves Ltd. toured abroad and performed in London’s West End.

She moved back to Belfast in 1999, obtaining a degree in English and an MA in Medieval Studies from Queen’s University, before doing a PGCE in English and Drama from the University of Warwick.

She now works as a drama facilitator, actor trainer, community theatre director and voice coach. She has worked with many different community groups, ranging from children and adults with learning disabilities, to pensioners, helping to develop creativity, confidence and performance skills. 

Rosie also runs many acting classes and workshops for adults at the Crescent Arts Centre and at Queen’s University.

She is the Director of the Rosie Pelan Actors' Studio at the Crescent, a centre of actor training and research.
